A village world rooted in Istanbul

A few notes on how Koyland is built and what you can find in the game today. These are current development notes, not a dated release history.

We bring village strategy onto the real map of Istanbul. These notes describe systems you can explore in the game now and will change as the game develops.

Map

A game shaped by its routes

Istanbul’s districts, shorelines and crossings set the scene. Found a village on the map and choose work sites according to the surrounding terrain. Caravan and campaign routes use roads, bridges and ferry crossings. Movement on the map helps you follow each journey.

Village

Small choices add up

Wood, food, stone and gold form a connected economy. Work sites, worker assignments and buildings change what your village produces. Guide quests show the first steps; market, research and eras open over time.

World

You are not alone in the city

Other players’ villages appear on the map. Trade, guilds, chat and player combat are parts of this shared world. New villages have starting protection; plan your defenses and travel times before entering a conflict.

Progress

Time passes while you are away

Your village progress is kept on the server. When you return, offline production is calculated for a limited period. Short breaks can still bring progress, but resources do not accumulate without limit.
